CBQ hired a London architectural firm to design the renovation for their corporate offices including office spaces for VIP and management floors, the board room, public lobby space, and the VIP client area referred to as the Sadara. Although the job was finished, the Chairman of the Board felt the bank looked like it was located in London and not in Doha, Qatar. I was hired to develop a concept for bringing in the heritage of the Middle East to replace the Regency styled furnishings sourced by the London design firm.

After studying historic artefacts of the Gulf Region, the furniture designs I created  were inspired by the majlis found in traditional Arabian houses. Camel bags purchased in the old Souq became the upholstery for chairs and sofas, while richly stained wood fashioned with Islamic designs featured in tables and seat furniture.
